ISA 2018 Announcements

We look forwarding to seeing ICOMM Section Members in San Francisco in a few weeks.

In advance of the conference, the ICOMM Executive Committee wanted to bring a couple of items to your attention.

Elections: Please help shape the future of ICOMM at ISA by nominating yourself or someone you know to serve on our Executive Committee. The nomination process takes only seconds and can be completed by following this link. The election will take place at our Business Meeting on April 5th.  The two winning candidates will serve a two-year term (2018 – 2020).

ICOMM is sponsoring an exciting slate of panels and events this year.  Please help us raise the profile of these events among ICOMM members and prospective members.

  • April 5, 4.00 – 5.45 pm – Panel Honoring Distinguished Scholar R.S. Zaharna – Please join us in Golden Gate 5, Hilton Union Square for a special panel honoring the work and contributions of the 2018 ICOMM Distinguished Scholar, R.S. Zaharna.   • April 5, 7.30 – 9.00pm – ICOMM Reception and Business Meeting – Please join us in Golden Gate 5 at the Hilton Union Square for our annual business meeting and reception. Catch up with colleagues, enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres, get section updates, and help us toast Distinguished Scholar Winner, R.S. Zaharna; Book Award Winner, Philip Seib; and Best Paper Winner, Stanislav Budnitsky.
  • April 5, 9.00pm – NoHost ICOMM Dinner – Each year following our annual business meeting, ICOMM members visit a restaurant within walking distance of the conference hotel. Please email isaicomm@gmail.com to RSVP for this year’s dinner.

Best Paper Award 2019 –If you are particularly impressed by a paper presented during an ICOMM-sponsored panel at ISA 2018, please consider nominating it for the 2019 Best Paper Award. To make a nomination, please follow this link.
